Picking by Vision is an Augmented Reality (AR) technology that uses smart glasses and it is the most efficient method for order picking.

Augmented reality (AR) can be defined like a system that combines real world with virtual world, interaction in real time and 3D recording of virtual and real objects.

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience from a real environment where real objects are improved with information generated by the computer through sensorial ways including visual, auditory, tactile, somatosensory and olfactory.

Augmented reality began to be applied in Warehouse operations because it can make the reception or picking processes much faster.

Using smart glasses for doing manual picking enables hands free and increases efficiency with higher pick rate, significant reduction of errors and complete elimination of paper. This technology allows the user to have the focus on task completing only!

The process is paperless and Vision picking empowers users to access order information through digital format in real-time.

The glasses also scan the barcodes, the operator having both hands free to handle the goods with greater precision. The picking process is thus much faster and without error.

Apart from mentioned above, the smart glasses provide visual and voice cues to guide the users, and also have navigation features that are able to indicate where the user is located in the warehouse.

After project implementation we could see around 30% increase productivity efficiency at user, a higher pick rate in the picking process and reduced picking errors.
